Care and Conduct

How we protect dignity, consent, and safety when we gather.

When we sit down together to read or practice, the dignity of the people in the room matters more than any philosophical point.

Every gathering in the Toroidal Way rests on voluntary participation. Anyone may pass on any question or step out at any time without owing the group an explanation. Uninvited romantic or sexual attention, pressure to confess private trauma, and claims of superior spiritual attainment have no place among us. Above all, we never tell a person in pain that their illness, grief, or hardship is caused by their own spiritual failure.

When a conversation in a circle drifts into pressuring or diagnosing someone, the host’s job is to name the boundary right away and bring the room back to the text.

Because this website is an unstaffed public library rather than a central headquarters, we do not operate a monitoring desk or an emergency response form. Offering a form without a trained team behind it would be an empty promise. If you ever feel unsafe in a local gathering, please leave immediately, lean on people you trust, and use the local support or emergency services in your community.

When you use the Second Column worksheet on this site, your reflections remain entirely inside your own browser; no one can read or review them.
