Corrections and Variants
We keep the wording of the book intact as our shared reference, and we record our own editorial notes and terminology choices in the open.
In Chapter 6, the book’s title is “Purge, Unify, Simplify,” while the caption on Plate XV and our early working notes use the phrase “Purge, Marry, Simplify.” Both verbs point toward the same refusal to split contemplative stillness from daily obligation. We preserve the chapter’s own title in the reader and welcome both phrases in conversation.
When our commentary or study materials overreach, we revise our own notes here rather than silently rewriting the book’s paragraphs. A tradition that asks its practitioners to keep a second column owes the same candor to its pages.
You can browse the full index of passages to locate any paragraph or plate by its permanent identifier.
